Achieving EcoVadis Bronze accreditation with SienaBlü
Helping cosmetic design agency, SienaBlü achieve EcoVadis Bronze status and share its sustainability certification.
Their Challenge
As the cosmetics market both pulls and pushes brands to make commitments to more sustainable products and manufacturing, SienaBlü, a purpose-driven cosmetics packaging manufacturing company, saw a first-mover advantage in attaining sustainability accreditation to impress procurement decision-makers and customers. They were especially interested in EcoVadis, one that would reflect their already-strong values and focus on sustainable materials and processes. But in order to meet the standard and achieve a strong rating, SienaBlü needed a knowledgeable partner to pull the existing pieces together for their scorecard and share the good news with clients once they’d achieved the benchmark.
Our Solution
Not only did R&G’s Sustainability Lead consultants help guide SienaBlü through the ecovadis certification process, they also conducted short one-on-one interviews with clients to identify the material environmental and social issues critical to SienaBlü’s success, and the shared success of its supply team. Identifying gaps and opportunities, our Sustainability Leads also supported the SienaBlü team by establishing tailor-made sustainability and human resources programming and policies that would lay the foundation for SienaBlü’s sustainable business model. We finished the project off by delivering the company’s first expertly designed employee handbook, and by providing additional communications guidance to help put their new EcoVadis Bronze status in context and shape their sustainability storytelling.
